Winter has arrived

The wind has gone,

And leaves have stopped

The Autumn Jitterbug.

The shreds of the past

Have finally dropped

Upon that variegated rug.

Then snow begins,

The sky turns white,

Your trembling fingers gently freeze,

And you can see in dimming light

The strokes of naked trees.
